Still hyped from the stress of having left late with a lot of work to do, so I breezed through my RSS feeds and squeezed these out as a sort of winding-down exercise:
- Looks like Mac OS X 10.4.3 is to be released soon.
- Everyone and their dog is linking to the articles about running Front Row on a Mac mini, so I won't. I'll just link to the SonyEricsson HID file to control it remotely via Bluetooth (provided you bind F8 to activate it). It's fun, but not that useful for me, so I'll pass until it's a standard system component. Update: Apparently the DVD player doesn't work, and it "locks" iTunes's minimize button. Definitely a "pass" until it's standard fare.
- Google Web Accelerator is back with a vengeance - this time, it apparently sends no indication whatsoever that it's present. Time to start blocking its IP address range, no?
- Joel Alexandre has posted a tweak for an interesting hack - modifying VMware Player and creating your own VMs. Gotta love QEMU's toolset...
- There's a new Squeezebox in town. Looks great, but my SliMP3 is still ticking away like clockwork...
- If João's post wasn't weird enough, check out TinyDisk (via Slashdot).
- Finally, WINE has gone beta, and CrossOver Office can run Office 2003 (or selected portions of it). This might come in useful when Mac OS X goes Intel...
- Carlo writes about the realities of Skype on mobile phones (there's plenty more to say about this, but he nails most of the issues).
- Via Gruber, Google Base rumors (the AYB joke is spot on).
- Had enough of the 770 yet? here's a photo gallery for you.
- Last but not least, there's a new version of Onlife.
