iA Writer is the one app that I have been most consistently using to write everything, and that delivers the best, most consistent and nicest writing experience. For me, it has the

• Effortless syncing between iOS and macOS
• A native application everywhere I use it
• Excellent Markdown support (including front-matter tags, preview, WikiLinks, etc.)
• Ability to turn off everything that gets in the way of writing
• Ability to use other storage/sync systems (so I can start stuff on a Linux machine and pick it up again on my iPad or Mac)
