Parallels Workstation is the first commercial Mac OS X hypervisor/virtualization software, delivering VMware-like functionality for Intel Macs. The application itself is Qt-based, and carries inside the app bundle a hypervisor .kext (that has been reported to work in Mac OS X 10.4.3) and a few other goodies.
Sadly, it does not appear to be compatible with either VMware or QEMU disk image formats (but I cannot confirm that, not having an Intel Mac of my own).
Resources:
- Converting VMware images - using QEMU tools to make raw disk images, which kind of sucks (why can't these people settle on a single disk format)?
