Too much to do in what will be (for me) a three-day week. Two long(ish) meetings, a few interesting ideas thrown around, a lot of Layer 2 networking stuff, a new document to write. Arriving home to glance at the news:
- Yes, yes, I know that Half-Life 2 is out. There's even a Slashdot review of it, which is unusual. I played a lot of Counter-Strike before the game went sour with cheats, and despite not liking the HL physics much, I can understand the reasons behind all the hype.
- I suppose I might as well link to the Nokia Neo too, for all it's worth.
- The geekiest tattoo ever. Well, at least until someone gets the full XHTML DTD tattooed on his back.
- Turns out that both David and myself were wrong and that SonyEricsson phones are supported in an iSync-related plist - but via a platform-specific ID that we couldn't figure out. Here's how to add V800 support and the relevant script (which I'll test as soon as I can make a halfway decent V800 icon). Still, I gotta wonder as to what is in fact compiled into SyncServer.app...
Update: It works - at least my contacts synced over perfectly (or as perfectly as any other SonyEricsson phone, since there are always some quirks with middle names). Here's a screenshot of iSync with my dinky little V800 icon (which is a bit too shabby for me to distribute right now):
