OneNote is Microsoft’s note taking application, which has mutated over the years into an online service, eschewing local storage of notebooks. Its saving grace is that it has very extensive cross-platform support (including a good, mostly offline-friendly iOS version and a very usable web UX that both support PDFs and scanned images) and the backing of a premier productivity vendor, so it’s been a pretty decent long-term note repository.
