This kind of thing (which I picked up on after reading about their app throttling bugs) is why I swore never to buy Samsung gear after I had to work with their handset development crews during the Vodafone 360 fiasco.
It may have been over a decade ago, but the kind of release sloppiness and utter lack of deep QA in phone firmware I was faced with back then seemed like more of a cultural artifact than anything else, and it would be precisely the kind of thing that would lead to this.
And of course Android’s sprawling mess doesn’t help either, but I don’t want to go there because it might be construed as excusing them.
