Nearly two years after my last rant regarding this (three or more if you count a few odd mentions here and there), Sapo delivers a software suite that provides properly compliant integration of the new Portuguese ID cards and Mac OS X. Kudos - at least if our government can’t contract for a proper solution, it’s good to know that someone here in Portugal can code it and make it available for public scrutiny (and yeah, as it turns out I do happen to know a few of them).
