From the department of pointless comparisons. For those of you who have trouble with figures, there is only one iPhone manufacturer and around half a dozen netbook manufacturers - the list can be summarized as Acer (38.3), Asus (30.3), HP (5.8), MSI (5.7), Dell (2.8%) and a few others. Now, last time I checked, anything divided by five or six is smaller than the original, so those 5.6 million netbooks are a much smaller volume than the iPhone sales (supposed to be 4.7m) when split.
And I’m not even going to pick up the bit about Apple “needing” to launch a netbook. Could we please have some better (i.e., apples to apples) reporting on netbook market growth?
