Brilliant move. Besides the SDK, there’s Exchange ActiveSync support, which renders obsolete a lot of the hoopla surrounding the device. My 2 questions: will I be able to do the same on an iPod Touch And do they really expect me to pay for another upgrade so that they can sell me their stuff?
Update: Yep, Steve stated during the keynote that the enterprise features will also be available on the iPod Touch as part of the 2.0 upgrade (for a nominal fee). Which means that Apple has, in a nutshell, reinvented the PDA.
I wonder how many iPod Touch devices have been sold so far…
