No Hat

Well, Core 6 (which I was rather looking forward to) was delayed again, and all we got today was KOffice's bump to 1.6.

I've mostly stayed away from KDE (since I find the whole environment rather too cluttered and lacking coherent visual design), but I must say that Krita and Karbon14 seem interesting (I'd love to see ports of either). Kplato is intriguing, too, enough for me to consider grabbing the live CD over the weekend and giving it a whirl.

The rest, I'm afraid, is a bit too limited. Sure, OpenOffice is, in comparison, more than a little flabby round the waist, but it's available in more platforms and the "save to PDF" options have been making inroads among the faithful.
