Spent some time removing crud from the Wiki internals. Expect some (visible) breakage soon as I clean up portions of the CSS. Oddly enough, Simon's latest post summarily addresses what I'm going through right now as I try to disentangle overlapping styles...
Meanwhile, some interesting tidbits:
- Yep, it's Google's seventh birthday, and Google Video is being changed to work with a Flash-based player (which makes it a lot more useful for Mac and Linux folk). No sign of Earth for Mac OS X, though - it would have been a nice way to celebrate.
- Looks like 802.16e will be ratified by the end of this month. Of course, anyone wanting to deploy WiMax services will still have to get to grips with regulation and frequency slots...
- Yahoo IM fans with Blackberry devices will want to visit this page soon. Apparently the client will be only made available for Canadian (Rogers Wireless) devices, but who knows...
More later.
Update: The page now reads (for me): This web page uses ActiveX controls that work only in Microsoft Internet Explorer. To ensure that the Yahoo! Messenger is correctly downloaded to your BlackBerry this site is designed not to work with any other Internet browsers.
Great...
