Far too much stuff to catch up on at the office, too little time to write a proper summary of today's news - and no, I am not watching the football match:
- Here's a Safari skin for Firefox (via 2lmc)
- Universal publishes music catalog (this might help the - still inexistent - European iTunes music store)
- Linspot - These guys want you to re-sell your ISP's bandwidth (most likely breaching their TOS and contract) to make a few measly bucks. Oh yeah. Smart. Real smart... And most likely illegal in most places.
- Battlezone CTF - Capture The Flag with tanks for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X (via karlus.net)
- Free Wi-Fi catching on at airports - I guess that's a more interesting perk than free drinks in the executive lounge...
- Wireless Jabber - an interesting twist on Jabber, but which fails to render it relevant in face of the MSN juggernaut...
- 14Mbps on a mobile link - not something we can do on a cellphone yet, both HSDPA and EV-DO look interesting, but being heavily asymmetrical technologies, they are of little use for business users (who upload 5-20 times more data than your average consumer).
- Gartner says banning camera phones is short-sighted and advocates educating users instead. Nice to see a major consulting firm using common sense for a change - but then, stating the obvious is not quite the same thing as displaying common sense...
