Ghostty is a fast, cross-platform terminal emulator that uses platform-native UI and GPU acceleration. Written in by Mitchell Hashimoto (of Hashicorp fame), it aims to combine the performance of simpler terminals with the features expected of modern ones—proper font rendering, configurable keybindings, and a scripting interface—whilst remaining pleasant to use out of the box.
