The Great AI Breakdown

I finally got around to cleaning up the section of the site, which had become a bit of a mess, and broke it down into the following sections:

  • - General information about AI and ML
  • - Large Language Models
  • - Stable Diffusion and other image generation tools
  • - Speech synthesis and recognition
  • - Model Context Protocol and related tools

I hesitated to do this for a while, but the amount of content I have on AI has grown significantly, and it was becoming unwieldy to navigate and maintain. I also hesitated to create an “agentic” section because I loath the term, but I may end up doing that in the future if I accumulate enough content to justify it.

You can thank the recent inclusion of Agent Mode in Copilot for this, as it made it much easier to break down the YAML files the table data is stored in–using a machine-readable format has been paying off handsomely, since everything I throw at it can understand the tables as rows of data rather than the Markdown text they are rendered as when published

Gemini was, disappointingly, not as useful in this regard as Claude (it kept dropping items when moving them around). But at least I can now say that AI improved my productivity in this case, even if it’s a bank holiday…
