Rui CarmoSomewhat against my long-standing approach to decluttering, I have made a few tweaks to the way external links are handled and started including generic utm tags. This is mostly for other people’s benefit (so that other sites can figure out I’m linking to them) and because HTTPS and referrer spam have effectively killed referrer tracking, and that was one of the nicest things of the older, simpler web.
I’ve also updated the site privacy policy with the details (in short, I’m not tracking individual users, just injecting enough info so that people using Google Analytics or similar can figure out where their traffic is coming from).
