Wired Equivalent Privacy, currently known as "crackable in less than ten minutes".

Sadly, it's about the only Wi-Fi security measure that is compatible across all generations and products - WPA and 802.1x still have a lot of interoperability issues, so much so that it's often easier to simply leave your SSID open and use IPSec or some other VPN technology to do access control.
