Apple Has Already Sold Up to 180,000 Vision Pro Headsets ➹

I have been quiet about the Vision Pro because I have zero intention of getting something this expensive, proprietary and, frankly, unnecessary, plus I don’t think I would pay the premium to have a sub-par experience (my eyesight requires a pretty beefy prescription that seems a little beyond what is supported, and I’d like to use my eyeglasses, thank you).

But these figures aren’t half bad for something that expensive (and, let’s face it, luxurious).

In the meantime, my Quest 2 is still plenty good enough for gaming and the occasional experiment with sideloaded apps–and that’s another thing that makes me wonder why I would get a Vision Pro and what its “killer app” would be (I get that Apple is aiming for providing new experiences, but its just not worth it for me).

Seems like too much money to play another variation on Beat Saber–let alone on a device you can’t easily share with family members.
