Haven’t had time to confirm this, but it would be completely in line with ‘the Apple way’. After all, why mess with an iconic design that had room for growth? Not to mention their bias towards doing incremental improvement for at least one generation. Of course, we’ll have to wait until Tuesday to find out for sure, but it bears remembering that Apple logistics is all about reducing SKUs (hence my believing the bit about it being a dual-mode device) and that whatever they’ll unveil, it’s probably been in the works since the iPhone 4 left the drawing board.
