I wouldn’t say anybody “lost” anything (or won, by that matter) in an industry where temporary exclusivity contracts are par for the course. And, (if you’ll pardon the pun) of course people who don’t understand how the industry works will make a big deal of this - time to stop paying attention to iPhone news for a while, at least while the hype and speculation last.
