The word “zombie” comes to mind, but I’m unsure if I should use it to refer to Maemo or to Symbian. Then again, I am quite happy with the Nokia 6730 I’ve been carrying around for a couple of weeks - it is a damn decent phone, even if it’s not as pleasing to use as my iPhone, and sometimes I wish Nokia stopped shooting in all directions and simply got their act together. They can do simple. They can do good. They can (sometimes) even do intuitive, but then they go ballistic and churn out crap like the N97.
