John Gruber already singled this out as clueless , but I’d like to add my Eur. 0.02 and point out that 1) of the 22.7 million iPods mentioned, the vast majority is priced below US$149, so using US$400 as a reference is misleading - or just bad fact-checking - and 2) that the ABI Research report mentioned lumps quite a few other things in those 200 milion (which are an outlying estimate until 2013) than just netbooks, and that the 100% increase on the netbook market has no gross revenue figure increase forecasts associated with it - margins on those devices are shrinking fast, and are way below what Apple considers a good internal target. But there isn’t even any need to use Apple’s own arguments to debunk this kind of “reporting”.
