My experience was somewhat similar, with the addition that I never went back to maps.ovi.com after realizing that it required a custom plugin to display maps (never mind that didn’t work on the Mac, requiring a custom plugin on Windows is unbelievably stupid on this day and age). Whoever is doing this at Nokia hasn’t caught up with modern web development - or care much about usability.
