Unreal is the generic term for a series of Epic games, typically Quake-like FPS that brought a different style to the genre (termed by some as “fancy lighting and no gameplay”). It is extremely popular on Windows, since it is far easier to duplicate than Quake or Half-Life.
Expert FPS players, however, think the physics engine and weapons balance suck like moss-coated rocks.
