gnokii is a generic phone tool that works well with Bluetooth in Mac OS X - provided you know how.
The latest sources compile without incident in Tiger, provided you issue:
./configure -disable-nls
…to remove the dependency on libintl.
To get a phone to work with gnokii over Bluetooth, set your .gnokiirc to include the device’s Bluetooth address just like it is displayed in the Mac OS X Bluetooth preference pane:
[global]
port = 00-11-22-33-44-55
connection = bluetooth
model = 6310i
initlength = default
# Commented entries for my own reference
# port = /dev/cu.Nokia6310i-1
# connection = dlr3p
