- Cringely has clearly felt himself being upstaged by Dvorak in the irrelevance department and tried to compensate. With virtualization, there is no point in Apple undertaking the massive effort of putting together something like WINE (yes, yes, I know about Darwine), and whatever you care to define by "licensing the Windows API", there is a lot more to running modern Windows applications than Win32.
- Several people who are keenly aware of my utter distaste for Motorola devices took advantage of the fact that I am again carrying a RAZR (I have to test the thing regardless of my personal preferences) and gleefully forwarded me this utterly stupid patent ("shock tones" indeed...)
- Someone got OpenStep to run on a MacBook Pro inside Parallels Workstation (via Cult of Mac). It reminds me of how we used to set up Windows 98 virtual machines inside XP to do legacy browser testing... I wonder where my NeXT stuff is?
