Relaxing

Spent the evening immersed in Fireworks, my Ubuntu install (which still has a dud battery-applet) and a smattering of transcode (trying to convert a couple of DV videos to a smaller format, the über-hackerish way).

It's amazing how much information you can find on the net about ripping DVDs, but how little there actually is about more legitimate uses of some tools... I'm sorely tempted to use a captioning engine I just found to add some commentary to the video :)
