To my utter surprise, today was a very productive day (made more so by the simple expedient of not answering any outside calls until after lunch). So much so that I've had to skip most of the news, and there were few things to catch my eye:
- The H.264 codec gets a hardware implementation on one of Texas Instruments' DSPs.
- Melo got his hint published.
- More pictures of the iPAQ h6315. I can't say I like it. In fact, I can say I don't, simply because it looks huge. I tend to like my phones smaller.
- Speculation on Google entering the IM business with a Jabber-based offering. Guys, they're supposed to make money now. IM is just another internet service with zero income, so what can Google do? Store and index chat sessions?
Pocket Mousing
On a practical note, I recently picked up one of these at a local shop (for local people):
Besides matching my Toshiba/M100's black and silver look, it has the extra neat touch of storing the radio dongle inside the mouse itself.
Next up, a Ratpadz for home. Maybe. Oh heck, alright, as soon as Doom 3 comes out for the Mac.
