Borrowing a term from Kim Stanley Robinson's Mars Trilogy, we're now adrift in the New Year Timeslip, that oddly calm week between Xmas and New Year's Eve. Nothing much is happening out there, really, and I've yet to muster enough stamina to get back to doing some (moderately) serious coding.
Instead, I've spent the weekend sorting through my CD collection and delving into Neal Stephenson's excellent Quicksilver, in which Enoch Root makes his "comeback". Great writing, Neal - keep them coming.
