Ever since we took a short stroll down memory lane and re-installed QuakeWorld, I've been trying to figure out what happened to QuakeForge. The SourceForge Project is still available, but the main site seems to have vanished. The Mac OS X files are still available at Fruitz of Dojo, but it's a shame to think the revival of classic Quake lasted only a few months.
Oh well. The game on modern machines is fast, furious and exiliarating, even if the added eye candy of modern builds can't disguise the blocky level layouts and wierd weapons. It's nice to see how even Classic Quake is more enjoyable than Unreal Tournament. ;)
