Work keeps taking unusual turns, and I have an uneasy feeling (OK, a dead certainty) that the recent saga isn’t finished yet–and yes, I’m considering various alternatives, but the current context is very far from ideal.
The old adage of “if you have nothing nice to say, then (it’s certainly wiser to) say nothing at all” rings true–but it’s pretty much impossible to disengage my brain, so I am trying to make every single second of free time count towards keeping my mind off things.
Which is why this week I tore through four books, churned out almost half a dozen posts and drafts, and spent a bunch of time soldering stuff–only to have to order 100 27KΩ resistors and 5 optocouplers because, well, I didn’t have the presence of mind to double-check my stock around a month ago.
I wonder why.
