Besides the obvious question of what will happen to entry-level pricing, I’m curious to see if 16GB RAM as the new standard will translate in a stepwise shift in their (sometimes grating) incremental improvement approach across other product lines (like the iPad, of course).
But it does feel like they could have done this a long while ago without price gouging us for an extra $200 and just say “the M4 is now an even better AI platform”, unified memory or not.
