Even though the industrial design is pretty neat (as is usual by something done by Teenage Engineering), I actually have no idea why this thing exists. Why would I want to use another AI-backed cloud service that only works through a dedicated device when I have a phone (and a watch) that are already here, now?
Of course, Siri can’t do half of what was painstakingly demoed (even though the demos are not something I would rely on AI to do), so there’s that–but I tend to agree with this unusually vocal opinion.
