As much as I am prone to dislike Samsung, this isn’t good. At the scale they operate and given the raw amount of product they usually ship (and by this I mean components, not just finished devices), this hints at major contention down the pipeline – it’s obvious people are not rushing out to buy new gadgets, but this kind of cliff drop hints at deeper problems than, for instance, the 30% slowdown in PC sales.
I need to put on my supply chain hat and investigate.
