Citrix to be acquired and merged with Tibco ➹

End of an era, I guess. Feels very much like someone’s trying to create an amalgamation of IT companies that are borderline cloud-ready but haven’t caught up with the times and hopes that will amount to something.

(The way RDP has evolved, Citrix has pretty much zero advantages, and as far as I’m concerned they completely lost the plot years ago by failing to adapt their licensing model.)
