The Sinclair ZX81 at 40 ➹

I started out with a ZX81 myself. Although it’s not hard to believe it’s been 40 years, it is amazing to consider how far we’ve come.

And yet, modern personal computing (despite still being engrossing) seems to lack the same kind of intrinsic “fun” you could have with these tiny, limited (but instant-on) machines you had to coax into doing something useful.
