At long last, tech companies grew… awareness of the way Trump had been using them as broadcast channels for politicized extremism.
The fact that it took them four whole years to arrive at relatively obvious conclusions ought to be a lesson to the entire industry, but I’m skeptical of it sticking given that the current situation in the US is not so much socio-political but deeply cultural where it regards bias, selective tolerance for extremism and, of course, corrupting business influence.
And with that, I think I’ve written enough on politics for the year.
As usual, I don’t even mention the subject unless there is something earth shattering going on, and am going to sit back and see how deep down the rabbit hole of prosecuting elected officials the US establishment is willing to go, especially considering the Capitol “protesters” wore “Civil War January 6 2021” merchandise.
We’re not out of the woods yet.
