This is a massive update (and a fascinating, long read), with loads of new features.
I’m curious to see if they finally fixed the (also) massive performance issues in macOS, since the GTK wrapper for the light table viewer in 2.4 actually re-draws the entire thing every time you move the mouse, which makes it unusable in large retina displays.
Update: it’s still a problem, and one that makes it very hard to use unless you’re extremely patient. I’ve turned to Affinity Photo to deal with my RAW files instead, which is sad since I quite like Darktable’s non-destructive editing capabilities.
