Well, there’s at least one user-serviceable part inside, then. Hopefully the other models will be as “easy” to open (but I’m not holding my breath).
However, the notion that you’ll be able to upgrade Macs halfway along their useful life span (which used to be a major selling point for engineers) is no longer tenable, largely because the RAM seems to be soldered on.
Couple that with the recent statements about 16GB being as much as it was designed to hold, and I’m starting to think we’d better call these new machines the “MacBook Air SE” instead of tainting the “Pro” moniker.
