Considering that I spent the whole day reinstalling my Pro from scratch due to what might well be a failing motherboard (too soon to tell), this would be perfect if it was shipping now.
As it is, I’m glad they’re shipping it with 8GB of RAM and 256GB storage as standard, but am a bit wary of being a guinea pig for first-gen hardware, especially one with a prominent single point of failure (that USB 3 port is just begging for it). And it’s bound to cost €1500, so it’s going to be a major personal investment if I do decide to take the plunge.
On the other hand, the Air itself got a chipset upgrade, so it might be a more sensible bet as a personal machine.
