Misunderstood, indeed. And yet, I feel less interest in WWDC with each passing year. I just don’t relate to it anymore. Apple is still a great technology company, I like to follow their marketing campaigns, but my heart’s just not in it — the experience (either in OSX or iOS) is just not compelling enough, even if the hardware is still top notch.
