Evernote better watch out. OneNote is way faster than the desktop Evernote client, and supports rich text editing on mobile pretty well to boot (at least on the iPad). I’m an Evernote Premium user and like it a lot, but their client apps have meandered deep into the land of unfathomable complexity and overwrought UI, whereas OneNote feels a lot simpler and speedier. I just can’t see any reason not to use it instead, really, unless you need the extra complexity. Only showstopper so far: the web clipper apparently saves an image to your notes, which is a bit silly even if the text is indexed. I’d much rather have a simplified HTML option.
