I think this is great, largely because it means my iPhone 5 is essentially identical and both are likely to be supported for the next 2-3 years.
That and because it will likely sell extremely well over the holiday season (and yeah, I was expecting that kind of unsubsidized pricing — do you think they’re in business for the glory of it?).
The 5s is nice, too, but I believe the fingerprint recognition to be largely a gimmick and would rather have Apple iron out the A7 (and iOS 7) bugs over the next year or so - I’ll consider the next model, though, especially if they stick to the same form size and keep improving the camera post-processing.
