Fascinating. It’s also way over half-funded already, which is an interesting sign. If I had time to play games at all, I’d probably go for one.
The biggest impact, however, will probably be opening a new channel (however small) for indie games. Mainstream games are overpriced and a nuisance to get hold of, and this has the potential to beat them on both counts.
