This is why I bought a Canon S95 a while back. If your SLR is too unwieldy, get a decent compact - your memories will thank you.

Camera phones, no matter how fancy, are the modern Polaroids - they might give fun results, and some shots might even stand the test of time, but they seldom have good enough optics or sensors for real photography.
