The notion that Apple has been thinking about using something less crufty and dated than Objective-C has been around for a while (and their understated endorsement of MacRuby is quite interesting), but I suppose this means we’re getting into the silly season - for now, and until Apple says otherwise, I’m holding off diving into Ruby (obviously, whatever they do come up with is going to be a big ticket item overnight if it’s completely cross-platform inside the Apple ecosystem, and more so if it’s a twist on something already available and popular with the geek crowd). Too late to vote for Python
