The title is a bit dramatic, but then Charles Stross does have a penchant for laying it on thick. The whole piece is, as usual, thought-provoking and sure to create interesting ripples on the Internet throughout the weekend, but I agree with the main premise: the future is controlled now, and we’re headed pretty much towards that kind of future (I’m already living portions of it).
