Another example of reinventing the wheel: We’ve been using binary packed multipart/mixed
transfers to download entire WAP pages (i.e., a page and all the media contained in it) in a single server response for years, and desktop browsers never cared. Now Google comes up with something needlessly more complex than that, and it’s all peachy and “new” - but to me it actually looks they’re trying to get the old Google Accelerator transport standardized. Oh well, whatever makes banner ads load faster…
