I am quite a bit more sanguine than Om Malik, for the simple reason that Wi-Fi, is, despite a few surviving islands of coverage, pretty much useless coverage-wise in the parts of Europe I move around in (and no, the app won’t do voice over 3G, although I’ll grant that this is going to make the international calls game a whole more fun for the folk who found using a regular computer cumbersome. The hype train is going to get major impetus out of this one, of course, so I’ll just sit back and enjoy the ensuing soap opera.
