hdapm

hdapm is a command-line utility for setting the power management (APM) level on SATA hard drives that can be used to eliminate “chirping” or “clicking when idle” noises in some hard disks – especially useful for when you do late night coding sprees (or audio editing) and the little head parking clicks become an intolerable nuisance.
