…and say that the new Opera Mini 4.0 beta (yes, that’s the WAP link for dowloading it) is a bit disappointing.
Sure, the zoom effects are nice and the cursor is long overdue (even if a bit hard to use on the crummy directional pads of most phones), but it’s been nearly two years and I’m still waiting for access key support of some kind.
And the rumors of a Flash player/transcoder of some kind for watching YouTube videos (or some other inanity) without leaving the browser excites me even less – all this talk of being able to shoehorn “the whole internet” on a phone makes it seem as if the industry as a whole was hit by a collective brick on the temple and started suffering from terminal (if you’ll pardon the pun) lack of imagination…
Can’t we think of better things to do with mobile browsers?
